Face Lift

This procedure is one of the more common procedures to correct the changes of aging on the face. It involves removing the excess laxity in facial skin from the facial and neck areas. I perform this procedure through carefully camouflaged incisions along the hairline and ears. Excellent results are obtained by removing the "jowling" from the lower region of the jaw along with the correction of the excess skin laxity and fullness under the chin and upper neck.

I feel that the technique that I utilize gives a more "natural look" to the face and not the tightened look so frequently referred to as "the face lift mask" that is often seen on celebrities and others. Tightening of the underlying facial muscle layer and subcutaneous tissue is critical in the modern day facelift, in addition to removal and tightening of the overlying excess skin.

More men are having this procedure and I feel comfortable in offering a face lift for men that takes into account the specific changes in the face that most males desire, without giving the face a feminine look. Select placement of incision scars is important in men due to changes in the beard and hairline areas. I am seeing a significant increase in male patients requesting this procedure... and the natural look that we produce.

This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and may be on an outpatient basis, depending on any other procedures performed during the same operative time period.
